Description of the Plant:

Aquatic floating herbs. Leaves dimorphic; the subnerged ones opposite, the floating ones widely rhomboid, coarsely dentate-serrate. Flowers axillary, solitary, projecting above the water surface. Fruit obovoid with four straight or slightly curved horns with barbed apices.

Mode of Uses:

Fruits are eaten (Murong).

Distribution:

Almost throughout the country.
