Description of the Plant:

A medium sized deciduous tree. Leaves palmately lobed, lobes oblong, flower brownish yellow. Folicles brown tomentose.

Mode of Uses:

The bark of Callicarpa macrophylla and Sterculia roxburghii is crushed together and the paste taken for the treatment of fever (Chakma).

Distribution:

Occasionally cultivated in Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox's Bazar.
