Description of the Plant:

An erect undershrub with thickened stems. Leaves opposite or lower alternate, broad elliptic, abruptly acute. Inflorescence usually from old wood, many flowered cymes, 3- chotomous or umbellatelt compound in lower axils. Flowers pinkish. Berry whitish, juicy.

Mode of Uses:

A leaf extract with water is taken for the treatment of coughs in children (Chakma).

Distribution:

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox's Bazar, Sylhet and Moulavibazar.
