Description of the Plant:

Shrubs; stems forked, supported by arial roots. Leaves alternate, simple, and linear with sheathing base. Flowers in spatheate spadics, unisexual, yellow, fragrant. Drupes thick-walled.

Mode of Uses:

A root extract of Dracaena spicata and Pandanus foetidus is taken as a vaccine for measles (Tanchangya).

Distribution:

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox's Bazar.
