Description of the Plant:

A large woody, perennial twiner, with milky latex. Petioles 2-3 cm long, pubescent. Leaves ovate-acuminate base cuneate, pubescent on both sides.Flowers in paniculate cymes.Folicles many-winged.

Mode of Uses:

Pills are prepared from crushed leaves, subsequently dried and taken thrice daily for the treatment of irregular menstruation (Tanchangya).

Roots are crushed on stone and the extracted juice is taken for the treatment of abdominal pain of children (Marma).

Distribution:

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox's Bazar.
