Description of the Plant:

A small tree. Leaves elliptic-lanceolate, oblong-lanceolate.Flowers umbel, fascicled, yellowish. Fruits pale white, ellipsoid, obovoid.

Mode of Uses:

Bark [together with 17 other plants (see Typhonium trilobatum)] is used to prepare a paste, which is applied to the affected areas for the treatment of elephantiasis (Tripura).

Distribution:

Forests of Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet, Gazipur, Madhupur and Dinajpur.
