Description of the Plant:

Perennial herbs, usually glabrous. Leaves lanceolate to ovate-elliptic, often rather narrow. Inflorescence a (1-) 2-5-flowered raceme. Flowers purple with a whitish or yellowish lower sepal.

Mode of Uses:

Crushed leaves are applied to affected areas for the treatment of boils in children (Chakma).

Distribution:

Chittagong and Chittagong Hill Tracts.
