Description of the Plant:

Rhizomatous herbs. Leafy shoots 1-1.5m. Leaves lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, subsessile. Inflorescence ellipsoid, bracts convolute, becoming recurved, subtending 1 or 2 white flowers

Mode of Uses:

An infusion of the leaves is used for baths in the treatment of anemia (Chakma).

Distribution:

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox's Bazar and sylhet, in fallow lands.
