Description of the Plant:

Densely clumped sympodial bamboo. Young shoots green. Sheath covered with glossy black pubescence culms dull green. Internodes parallel with the node. Leaves in complements of 9-15 blades. Leaf sheaths thick, fruits caryopsis.

Mode of Uses:

The young shoots are cooked and eaten(Chakma).

Distribution:

Forests of Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox's Bazar, Moulvi Bazar and Sylhet.
