Description of the Plant:

An erect, branching shrub; branchlets angular. Leaves simple, ovate-oblong, acute to acuminate. Flowers in racemos panicles, enclosed in pubescent leafy bracts. Pods 2-seeded.

Mode of Uses:

A root extract is taken and a paste of the leaves applied to the whole body for the treatment of tetanus (Chakma).

Crushed warm leaves are applied to affected areas for the treatment of rheumatic pain (Marma).
