Description of the Plant:

A small tree. Stems cylindrical with pairs of stipular spines from tubercles. Leaves alternate, fleshy, glabrous, oblanceolate. Flowers in involucres, 3-together in cymes, bisexual.Fruit capsule.Seed coeci. Frequent in the hilly areas.

Mode of Uses:

Extract prepared from warmed leaves is taken twice daily for the treatment of diabetes. Leaf extract mixed with salt is taken in asthma and bronchitis (Bawm).
