Description of the Plant:

A herb; rosette, taproot fusiform with fibrous roots. Basal leaves numerous leaf blades lanceolate or oblanceolate. Entire, base cuneate.Apex obtuse. Caollow margined, crenate to finally spinulose-serrate to parted. Inflorescence divaricately trifurcate, heads numerous, short pedunculate. Fruit ovoid-glubose.

Mode of Uses:

Used as additives in curries (Chakma, Tripura, Marma, Bawm).

Distribution:

Cultivated more or less throughout the country.
