Description of the Plant:

A medium to big sized tree with simple green leaves. Small flower in axillary racemes. Fruit drupes, green in colour, one seeded. The fruit is nearly round, oval or cylindrical. It is hard and green at first but when ripe it is becomes soft.

Mode of Uses:

Fruit is eaten in diarrhea and dysentery (Murang).

Occur in the forests of Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Sylhet, North Bengal. Also cultivated throughout the country.
