Description of the Plant:

Rhizome erect. Laminae bipinnate, oblong-lanceolate, cuneate at base, apex acuminate. Sori borne along the veins. A terrestrial fern along margin of streams.

Mode of Uses:

  • Extract prepared from aerial part boiled in water and used to take bath for the treatment of allergy. In addition the extract is taken for the remedy of allergy and drug reaction (Bawm).
  • The young fronds are eaten as vegetables (Chakma, Tripura, Marma, and Bawm).

Distribution:

Almost throughout the country.
