Description of the Plant

Clustering to form dense clumps, high climbing. Leaves cirrate, petiolate, armed with deflexed stout spines, leaflets numerous, alternate, equidistant. Fruit subglobose.

Mode of Uses

Fruits pulp edible. Inner pith of the stem is cooked dry fishes after boiling (Chakma, Marma).

Distribution

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.
