Description of Plant:

A twining shrub, tomentose. Leaves simple, ovate-orbicular. Male flowers pale green, in axillary cymose clusters; female flowers pale yellow, in racemes. Drupes scarlet.

Mode of Uses:

A paste of leaves of Cissampelos pareira var. hirsuta and Rauvolfia serpentina is applied to the head for the treatment of coma (Chakma).

Distribution:

Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Dhaka, Moulvi Bazar, Sylhet, Pabna, Tangail, inforests.
