Tribal Name: Lodi mallang (Chakma), Paranga ludi (Tanchangya).

Description of Plant:

Slender herbacious climber with leaf opposed tendrils. Leaves membranous, simple. Flowers bisexual, tetramerous in umbellate cymes, opposite to the leaves.

Mode of Uses:

A stem extract is taken against abdominal pain during pain attacks; an infusion of the leaves is used in baths for the treatment of fever. Plants of Momordica cochinchinensis, Cayratia trifolia and garlic are crushed together and taken for the treatment of heart disease (Chakma).

Fruits are eaten (Tanchangya).
