Description of the Plant:

A slender herb. Rhizome cylindric, horizontal, hard. Leaves sessile, oblong-lanceolate, glabrous, ciliolate on the margin at apex. Spike from the base of the plant. Flowers white.

Mode of Uses:

The crushed roots of Cissus assamica, Desmodium triquetrum and Amomum aromaticum var. tomentosum are taken and in addition warmed leaves are applied to different parts of the body for weakness (Chakma).

Distribution:

Forests of Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Sylhet and North Bengal.
